Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
We built New Local Sites to hand local businesses a real, no-pressure website preview. This policy explains, in plain English, what information we touch, why, and how to make it stop. We don't sell your data — full stop.
Who we are
"New Local Sites," "we," and "us" refer to the operator of newlocalsites.com and the outreach pipeline that builds draft websites for local businesses. To contact us, reply to any message we sent you or email hello@newlocalsites.com.
The short version
- We use publicly available information from Google's business listings (reviews, hours, phone number, photos) to build a preview website for your business.
- If we text you, it's a one-to-one message about a preview we already built for you. We never share your mobile number or sell it for marketing purposes.
- Reply STOP to any message and we stop — carrier enforced, immediately.
- If you become a customer, we host your website and the content you give us to put on it. That's it.
Information we use
We work with two kinds of information, and they're treated very differently:
- Public business information.Your business name, address, phone number, hours, reviews, photos, and services — pulled from your public Google listing. This is information you or your customers already made public. We use it to build a preview site and to text you a link to that preview. The phone number on your Google listing is the one we text; we don't buy lead lists or scrape consumer mobile numbers.
- Information you give us as a customer. If you decide to make your site official, you may give us your domain, payment details (handled by our payment processor — we never see your full card number), logos or photos you want on the site, and anything else you want published.
We also collect standard technical information that browsers and hosting providers log automatically — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This is used to keep the site secure and understand, in aggregate, how the site is used.
How we use information
- To build and host a draft preview website for your business.
- To send you a text message with a link to that preview, as a one-to-one business introduction.
- To set up, maintain, and update your live website if you become a customer.
- To respond to your questions, support requests, and opt-out requests.
- To operate, secure, and improve our service in aggregate — never to build a profile of you for sale.
Mobile data and SMS outreach
This section matters to us and to the carriers that let us send texts. It's here so it's easy to find.
- We do not share mobile data for marketing purposes without consent. We never sell, rent, or trade your mobile number, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.
- The only texts we send are about your preview. If we message you, it's a one-to-one message from us about the website we built for you. We don't send promotional blasts, drip campaigns, or third-party offers.
- Message frequency. Very low — typically one initial message, and a small number of replies if you respond. No automated recurring messages.
- Carrier-level STOP enforcement. Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, or ENDto any message and our carrier (via Twilio) adds you to a suppression list before the next message can go out. We also write the opt-out to our own records so we don't try again from a different number.
- HELP. Reply HELP for a reminder of who we are and how to opt out.
- Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier plan.
We register our business and our messaging use case with the U.S. carriers' A2P 10DLC framework via Twilio's Trust Hub, so the sender of any text is a verified business, not an anonymous number.
Your choices and opt-out
- Texts: reply STOP to any message from us, or email us with the number you want removed.
- Draft preview: if we built you a preview site, the link in your text takes you to it. From there (or by replying to the text), you can tell us to take it down — we remove it from public access.
- Customer site:if you're a paying customer, you can cancel at any time. We'll take the site down at the end of your billing period and, on request, return the content you gave us.
- Public business info:because we use information from your public Google listing, the surest way to change what's public is to update your Google Business Profile directly. We refresh listings periodically, so changes there flow through.
Sharing of information
We share information only as needed to operate the service, and never to sell it:
- Service providers. Google (Places data), Twilio (SMS sending and carrier registration), our hosting provider (website hosting), and our payment processor (billing). Each only gets what it needs to do its job and is bound to protect it.
- Legal compliance. If we're required to by law, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
- Business transfer. If New Local Sites is ever sold or merged, customer information may transfer as part of that — with the same protections described here.
We do not sell your personal information, rent it, or share it for third-party advertising.
How long we keep information
Draft previews and the underlying listing data are kept while a prospect is in our pipeline and for a reasonable period afterward (to honor opt-outs and for our records), then removed. Customer account data is kept for as long as you're a customer, plus the period needed for billing and tax records. Opt-out records are kept indefinitely so we don't accidentally re-add you.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — encrypted transit, access controls, and separation between prospect data and customer data. No method is perfectly secure, but we treat your data the way we'd want ours treated.
U.S. state privacy rights
If you're a resident of California, Virginia, Colorado, or another U.S. state with a privacy law, you may have rights to know, delete, or correct your personal information, and to opt out of "sales" or "targeted advertising." Because we don't sell personal information or do targeted advertising, those opt-outs are effectively pre-honored. To exercise access or deletion rights, email us at hello@newlocalsites.com.
Children's privacy
New Local Sites is for businesses, not individuals under 18. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, post a notice on the site. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
